Ayurveda is a 5,000-year old system of natural healing that has its origins in the Vedic culture of India, linked to yoga.

Tibetan medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine both have their roots in Ayurveda. Ayurveda offers a body of wisdom designed to help people stay vital while realizing their full potential.

The system of Ayurveda works off the Five Elements (Air, Ether, Fire, Water and Earth) that show up in different combinations in each individual.

In Sanskrit, the constitutions, made up of the elements, are called Doshas. There are three main doshas: Vata (Air and Ether), Pitta (Fire and Water), and Kapha (Earth and Water).

Seasons, foods, and bodies contain the qualities of the elements in varying amounts. They can add to our health or, in excess, promote internal disharmony and dis-ease.
