Do you want healthcare or sickcare?

It might be an unpopular opinion, but I believe that health care should be inspiring, fun, and full of curiosity. Being in a body is an incredible experience!

What we currently call "health care" is actually "sick care" because our systems are built on the premise that we don't do anything until we are sick.

I would like to propose a different model; one where we know how to love and understand our bodies and minds so we can tend them with deep care and nourishment.

The ancient healing system of Ayurveda offers us these tools. We do not need to be sick to apply the wisdom, as it will keep us well for years and years to come. And, if we are sick or struggling with dis-ease, the practices of Ayurveda will help us recover our health.

Here are just a few sobering statistics from the US:

  • One in four people will die of heart disease (source: healthline.com)
  • 60% of Americans live with at least one chronic illness (source: cdc.gov)
  • 42% of the population is obese (source: nih.gov)

We are the sickest population that has ever lived on the planet.

How can we go on pretending that the lack of true "health care" isn't killing us?

Care is a verb. It requires action. You, me, all of us - our actions create our outcomes. When we give ourselves permission to evolve, this is where the magic of truly living take place.

We take informed action.

We find new ways of being and doing that create greater alignment and ease in body, mind, and spirit.

We get different results.

We are empowered creators of our lives.

The ease with which you live your life directly correlates to the alignment you have with the season.

With love and light,

Hannah
