What Ayurveda Brings

autumn ayurveda ayurvedawisdom dharma full moon reflect reflection Sep 27, 2026

Yesterday's Full Moon was also a celebration of International Ayurveda Day.

What a beautiful pairing.

The Full Moon reminds us to pause, reflect, and appreciate what has come to fruition. And Ayurveda reminds us that we are part of nature and that we are constantly influenced by the rhythms around us.

At its heart, Ayurveda is about living in harmony with nature’s rhythms.

And today, after the first full moon of Autumn, I’m reflecting on when I first discovered Ayurveda and how it completely changed my life.

It gave me hope and self-compassion that birthed a passion and recognition of my dharma.

It taught me to listen differently. To pay attention to my body, to the seasons, my relationships, and to the more subtle rhythms of nature. And most importantly, it taught me that caring for ourselves doesn't mean we are selfish - it is quite the opposite. When we thrive, we can support and encourage others to do the same!

The practices of Ayurveda align not only with our highest good, but also the highest good and deep care for the planet that sustains all life.

To learn these ancient practices in the modern world is to reclaim a deep connectivity that nourishes more profoundly than any modern creation ever could.

Happy International Ayurveda Day!

May we continue to learn from this beautiful wisdom and discover what it means to live in deeper relationship with nature and with ourselves.

Cheers to your radiant vitality, may you shine like the full moon!
