Wake Early & Thrive
Oct 26, 2025
In Ayurveda, the hours just before sunrise are called Brahma Muhurta, a sacred window of time when the world is quiet, the mind is clear, and energy is light and fresh. It’s a moment where everything feels possible. Rising during this time isn’t about discipline or pressure; it’s about giving yourself the gift of alignment, a gentle head start that nourishes your body, mind, and spirit.
When you rise before the sun, you sync with nature’s rhythm. Your digestion, sleep cycles, hormonal balance, and energy begin to flow more smoothly. The mind feels more open, calm, and ready to focus, while the heart feels lighter.
Ayurveda teaches that this early morning period is when clarity, creativity, and self-connection are at their peak. It’s the perfect moment for reflection, journaling, meditation, or simply sitting quietly with a warm cup of lemon water.
Your energy builds with the dawning of the day and you will feel the shift for the rest of the day. If we want to move well, think well, and feel well, we have to listen to our bodies and stop distracting ourselves with everything in our modern lifestyle.
So often, we rush into our days feeling behind before we even begin. But waking up just a little earlier, even 20 minutes, can shift everything. Instead of stress, you begin with spaciousness. Instead of grogginess, you invite lightness and clarity. Instead of feeling scattered, you anchor yourself in calm. These small, intentional practices build resilience and balance, carrying you through the hours that unfold from this magical time.
This week, try it for yourself: set the alarm a little earlier, avoid the temptation to look at your phone and instead step outside, and notice as the soft light of dawn appears. Let the stillness and the fresh start inspire a curiosity of the day ahead just waiting for you. Use that time for something nourishing; stretching, breath work, or intentions whispered for the world. Over time, these quiet beginnings weave into powerful habits that support your health and joy through self nourishment - nervous system tending.
Your health is your responsibility, and in this day and age, if you are just going along with popular culture and not looking at food and lifestyle from a critical eye, you are choosing chronic disease. Join me in changing that story for yourself and other women. The Vitality Circle awaits!
