A Question for August

Aug 17, 2025

This question is tender and powerful, one we can return to again and again, especially in seasons of transition.

Late summer carries a quiet energy. It’s the soft landing after the full bloom of summer and the preparation for the inward turn of fall. Nature begins to slow, and we’re invited to do the same. Our bodies, too, begin gently asking for different things: grounding, warmth, simplicity, space.

And in that landing, we may start to notice:
– A habit that no longer feels aligned
– A relationship that leaves us feeling depleted
– A way of thinking that keeps us small
– Foods or routines that feel more numbing than nourishing

Sometimes we hold on out of comfort, familiarity, or fear.
Sometimes we don’t even realize we’re carrying something until we finally set it down.

Ayurveda teaches us that healing begins with awareness. The body thrives not when it's pushed, but when it’s gently listened to.

So instead of rushing to change or “fix,” what if you simply paused?

What if you asked yourself:

  •  Is this still nourishing me?
  •  What would it feel like to lovingly let this go?

This seasonal transition doesn’t demand perfection. It offers an invitation:
To clear space.
To reset gently.
To let go of what’s heavy, and return to what’s true.

You don’t have to know the answers right away. Just be curious.

Ask with love.
And allow the answers to rise in their own time.
