Exercise Shifts For Summer

Blue moon blessings to you on this last day of May! As the moon moves through its cycles, this is the last full moon before Summer officially begins.
In Ayurveda, Summer heat affects more than the environment around us - it affects how our bodies feel too. The sun is stronger, the days are longer, and our internal fire (pitta) tends to rise right alongside the temperature outside.
Ayurveda gently reminds us:
Not every season is meant for pushing, striving, and achieving more.
While staying active through the summer is a great goal, HOW we do that matters, if we want to maintain balanced moods and not increase inflammation.
Especially in midlife and menopause, when many women are already experiencing internal heat, Ayurveda encourages us to move in ways that nourish, rather than drain us.
This doesn’t mean stop moving.
It means becoming more discerning with how we move.
