Recovering from Daylight Savings
Nov 02, 2026
As we welcome November, we are going deeper into Vata Season. The tradition of Daylight Saving Time has ended.
How’s your sleep?
When the clocks fall back, our routines can feel a little off. And if you're in perimenopause or menopause, you may already be dealing with difficulty falling asleep, waking during the night, or feeling tired even after a full night's rest.
Gaining and extra hour can feel like a magical blessing, but it can also be disorienting and Vata elevating at a time when rhythms and routines are of utmost importance to maintaining internal balance.
One thing that can help support your body's natural sleep-wake rhythm (as well as hormonal balance) is paying attention to light.
- Wake before the sun.
- Get some natural light as it dawns, soon after waking.
- Keep your waking and bedtime routines consistent.
- Dim the lights and give yourself time to wind down in the evening.
Creating the right conditions for your body to rest is one of the best gifts you can give yourself at the end of a long day!
Speaking of aligning with time, I have a new quiz on my website that evaluates which of my programs is the best fit for you. Would you be up for taking it? Try it HERE!
Here's to feeling more vibrant, connected, and alive in all the years to come!
